iGaming revenue

What is NGR in iGaming?

NGR, or net gaming revenue, adjusts GGR by subtracting commercial costs such as bonuses, taxes, payment fees, chargebacks, and other operator-level deductions.

Formula

NGR = GGR - bonuses - taxes - payment fees - chargebacks - other deductions

Why NGR matters

NGR is usually more useful than GGR for marketing and country-level decisions because it shows revenue after the costs that can vary heavily by market, payment method, and acquisition channel.

Example

If GGR is $60,000, bonus cost is $12,000, taxes are $8,000, and payment costs are $2,000, NGR is $38,000.

Common mistake

Comparing acquisition channels only by GGR can overvalue bonus-heavy traffic. NGR gives a cleaner view of monetization quality.
